We help our charterers plan their itineraries individually but here is a short guide to the islands.
Tuscany - for a visit to the islands of Giglio, Giannutri (also Corsica and Sardinia - time permitting) and Elba, steeped in Napolianic history. Enjoy the lush Mediterranean vegetation, numerous villages and be sure to wander into the hill towns during your visit. The mainland home port is wonderful - at Cala Galera, a new marina, but it is right next to the lovely historic towns of Porto Hercole and San Stefano on the Argentario Peninsula.
Netttuno - Here too the base is one of the highlights. After
visiting the medieval town of Nettuno, proceed to the
relatively remote and serene Pontine Islands. Some have small
villages, some are simply nature at its best. Time permitting
include the Naples Bay Islands.
Naples Bay Islands - Capri, Ischia and Prochida - ancient
islands, ancient towns, modern playgrounds - with all the
charm Italy can offer. Time permitting include the Pontine
Islands or some coastal stops near the famous Amalfi Drive.
Aolean
Islands - The bases are nearby on Italy’s mainland or in
Sicily for access to these lovely volcano-formed islands.
Tiny villages and numerous beaches and coves delight the
visitor. There is even a live volcano for some night time
fireworks! There are not a lot of safe anchorages but there
are enough for a pleasurable visit.
Sardinia (and the French island of Corsica) - Depart from
Sardinia's fabled Costa Smeralda and visit the stunningly
turquoise coves and bays of this coast. You will also find
jet set marina with mega yachts and mega prices, but all
quite part of the scene. Time permitting cruise up to Corsica
for a visit to the craggy cliffs and fascinating towns along
its southern coast.
